About ARkidCompany / About

Industry experience paired with digital expertise.

We build the product-visualisation infrastructure for the baby and juvenile industry, so brands, retailers and distributors stop paying for a fragmented stack of single-purpose tools. One partner. One twin. Every touchpoint.

01The need

Modern product visualisation is no longer optional.

Parents researching a €1,500 stroller online compare its product page with what they saw when buying a sofa. Baby gear has to meet that baseline, cost-efficiently.

  • 01

    Consumer expectation has moved.

Parents researching a stroller bring expectations shaped by every other premium category they buy. Against them, static pack shots feel dated; interactive 3D and AR feels current, and safe to buy.

  • 02

    Photoshoots strain the budget.

Sample logistics, studio days, post-production and re-shoots for variant changes add up faster every year, and still arrive too late for the launch calendar. 3D and AI imagery is the structural response.

  • 03

    Returns are an operational tax.

A high-consideration category like baby gear pays disproportionately for the “didn’t fit my hallway” or “didn’t look like the picture” return. Better pre-purchase visualisation reduces that tax measurably.

  • 04

The shelf can’t hold the full range.

A baby specialty retailer has eight metres of floor space against a brand assortment that spans dozens of variants. Colours not stocked don’t sell, unless the full range is available digitally at the point of consideration.

02The architecture

The digital twin is the prerequisite, not the deliverable.

Every modern visualisation tool assumes a high-quality 3D twin upstream. Without one, those tools are island solutions. With one, they amortise as a system.

Single source of truth

A canonical asset for every channel.

Geometry, materials, variants, hotspots and AR scale, defined once and consumed everywhere, instead of each vendor producing its own approximation.

Isometric illustration: one pushchair twin cabled to an arc of outputs: pack shots, a film, AR on a phone, a configurator and an in-store screen.
With it: amortisation

Six to eight asset types from one investment.

Pack shots, lifestyle scenes, 360° videos, AR, configurators, in-store screens, sales tablets and trade-fair loops, without re-budgeting per asset type. The stills and videos come from ARkid Creator, the AI virtual photo studio inside ARkid Catalogue; AR and configurators run on Catalogue, in-store screens and sales tablets on ARkid In-Store.

03Cost-efficient by structure

The economics shift once the twin is in place.

ARkid is built so the cost of an additional asset, an additional market or an additional retailer trends towards zero. Marketing, e-commerce and trade-marketing budgets stop scaling linearly with output.

04Origin

Built by people who already worked in baby gear.

ARkid did not arrive in the baby and juvenile category from outside. It was started by people who spent years inside it.

Why ARkid exists

We don’t sell 3D. We sell a faster, better-understood path to a buying decision.

Two decades of selling baby and juvenile products into European specialty retail, briefing trade-marketing teams and standing in Kind + Jugend booths produced the same conversation again and again. Brands had beautiful products with dozens of variants. Retailers had eight metres of shelf. Consumers had a phone and an unanswered question: what does this actually look like in my flat?

ARkid answers it end to end, so all three stop asking and start seeing: Studio produces the models, Catalogue distributes them, Creator turns them into imagery, In-Store puts them on the shop floor. The work is concrete: a 3D model, an embed, a QR code, a touchscreen, an AR session. The outcome is fewer misunderstandings, fewer returns and more confident purchases.

05Why specialise

Generic 3D keeps failing this category.

Baby gear is unusually hard to model and unusually high-stakes to misrepresent. Specialisation is not marketing; it is the only honest way to reach every audience involved.

  1. 01

    Geometry generalists get wrong

Wheel treads, fabric stretch on harness points, recline mechanisms, the interplay of capsule and base. ARkid models pass new product development (NPD) review the first time because the team has been here before.

  2. 02

    Safety language buyers expect

ISOFIX, i-Size, R129, recline angles, harness routing: interactive hotspots only convince when they describe the product correctly. We speak the spec.

  3. 03

    A network, not a marketplace

Brands and retailers in this category already work together. ARkid Catalogue is a closed and controllable network with clear partner agreements, not an open marketplace where anyone embeds anything.

  4. 04

    Trade fairs are home turf

Kind + Jugend every year, with our own booth from 2022 to 2024: on the floor where the buyers are, meeting brands and walking the retailer aisles. The relationships compound.

06How we work

Pragmatic. Collaborative. Practitioner to practitioner.

  • A

    Walk-throughs, not pitches

We start every conversation by understanding your channel, your assortment and your retail network. The deck comes second. The product comes first.

  • B

A partner for the full pipeline

Studio models, Catalogue distribution, Creator imagery and video, In-Store deployment. No vendor handoffs. No file-and-disappear.
