02The brief

Tell the story, and sell it through.

Maxi-Cosi was launching the Fame, a premium stroller, with two commercial jobs in parallel.

The shopper’s journey crosses brand-owned and retailer-owned surfaces several times. One experience for everyone tells the brand story but misses the hand-off to purchase; a custom build for each retailer costs the launch its timeline.

03What ARkid delivered

A configurator that works both sides.

An interactive 3D & AR configurator for the Fame, deployed on Maxi-Cosi’s own channels and across its retailer network. The same experience did the brand-narrative job on Maxi-Cosi’s surface and the conversion job on each retailer’s, with no duplicate production.

  1. Owned

    Interactive 3D & AR configurator

Live on maxi-cosi.com. Shoppers could explore colour options and configuration choices, and place the stroller in their own room in AR before deciding.

  2. Owned

    Hotspot explainers

  3. Owned

    75 store windows across Europe

The Fame in 75 store windows across Europe, with QR codes on the window stickers, in print advertising and on POS units, each leading to the configurator.

  4. Retail

A branded instance for every retailer

Each participating retailer received a customised 3D & AR experience in its own branding, linked to its own Fame product page with a “Buy now” button pointing at its shop. Multiple retailers integrated it into their own websites during the campaign, alongside Maxi-Cosi’s DTC pages.

  5. Retail

    Engagement tracking per retailer

Each retailer could track customer engagement on its instance through the ARkid Catalogue dashboard.

04The configurator
Interactive · the Fame twin

The configurator, still live.

The same experience shoppers met behind the QR codes in the store windows: turn the Fame, change its colours, open the highlights on the model, and on a phone place it in the room.

During the campaign it ran on Maxi-Cosi’s own DTC pages and, at the same time, on the websites of multiple retailers, each integrating it into its own Fame product page.

The model did not stop at Europe. With small changes, the same twin went on to other regions of the group, such as Dorel Australia, without a new production round.

06Outcome

The campaign, activated everywhere.

The Fame launch demonstrated the dual mechanic: one central brand campaign, distributed activation across a retailer network, and engagement attributable to each retailer. It is the hardest thing for a brand to build from scratch and the easiest to deploy through ARkid Catalogue.

  • What this case proves

    Storytelling or sell-through? Both.

If you are weighing 3D as a brand-marketing asset or as a sell-through asset, the Fame answer is both: the network mechanic lets one experience do both jobs without new production.

  • For the next launch

    Every retailer, one step away

Once the model exists, every retailer is one customisation step away from its own activated experience, and every region of the group one adaptation away: the Fame twin went on to Dorel Australia with small changes.
